SU PERFORMER

Most widely grown hybrid rye variety in Ireland at present. The highest yielding variety on the German trials and also top of the list on UK AHDB Descriptive List. Very tall (170cm) but with very good lodging resistance and excellent straw breakdown resistance, even in a late, wet harvest year. Sow in mid-October / early November @ 250 seeds per sq metre. Excellent for biogas production may also have used in future distilling projects..?
